Bulk Box Directions: Carbons are used by volume and not by weight. Use 1 cup (16 tablespoons) of rinsed Activated Filter Carbon for each U.S. gallons of aquarium or pond water. Rinse thoroughly under tap water to remove any dust caused by shipping vibration. Place in filter media bag and use in filtration device according to the manufacturer's instructions. Replace Activated Filter Carbon every 3 to 4 weeks, sooner if aquarium or pond is heavily stocked or if odors or colors are detected. Safe for plants, fish, birds and other wildlife in and around ponds.
