Our latest proving ground for high fish load concentrations on the Model 8.8 is a commercial fishery that is running 600 pounds of fish in a single living, growing system with generous feeding habits, yet they claim a most excellent water quality with regard to waste management. At such a heavy load, their practice is to take a few minutes and backwash the system every day to eliminate the mechanical waste from the heavy feeding that goes on in the commercial facility.
